Eligibility Criteria

CBT Exam Pattern

The Computer-Based Test consists of two papers conducted on the same day:

  • Paper I: The main merit-deciding paper consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each) covering General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, Punjabi, and Digital Literacy. You get 3 hours to complete it, and there is no negative marking.
  • Paper II: A mandatory qualifying test for the Punjabi language. It carries 50 marks, and you must score at least 50% to pass. These marks are not added to your final merit score.

Physical Standards and Selection Process

After clearing the CBT, candidates move to the Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), followed by Document Verification.

  • Male Candidates: Must have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches. The physical test includes a 1600m race (to be completed in 6 minutes 30 seconds), a 3.80m long jump, and a 1.10m high jump.
  • Female Candidates: Must have a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches. The physical test includes an 800m race (to be completed in 4 minutes 30 seconds), a 3.00m long jump, and a 0.95m high jump.
